I am from London of Afghan origin. I studied Automotive Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire and graduated in 1997. I used to work for the BBC World Service for 2 years (2002-2004) and then I left the organization to work in Afghanistan as a media consultant for various organizations (including Media Support Solutions). I am currently working in Afghanistan (since 2004) as a media consultant and often teach abroad in various institutions political and cultural communication. My work in Afghanistan has enabled me to travel around the country to train journalists, which has increased my knowledge through interactions with the local population and it has assisted me in better understanding the changing communication environment and the people it has directly/indirectly had impacted.

Here he works with strategic communication and cyber´s role in the defense, foreign and security policy. Dr. Guido Silvestri is currently a Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar in Comparative Pathology, as well as Professor and Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. He also serves as Chair of the Division of Microbiology & Immunology at the Yerkes National Primate Research Cente.
